About Me

I grew up a quiet kid in the middle of nowhere, which was great, except for the entire rest of my family being extroverts who didn't understand the concept of introversion...like at all. Later on my mom would claim that she knew about it but just never consider there could be one in her own family. It was like coming out as queer a second time.

When I was able to scrap some alone time, I was always drawing animals, watching animated tv-shows and movies, or coming up with dramatic story-arcs for my plushies. These times from my childhood modeled me into becoming the artist I am today.

I am currently a senior at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, honing my craft and preparing for a career as an artist. I've taken a variety of different classes; both those I consider myself skilled in and would like to pursue, and those I've never tried but wanted to learn. I specialize in scientific illustration and comics, most of which center around my passions: nature, animals and magic.

I am currently employed as an independent contractor at Zoo Enrichment lab where I assist in the production of their animal enrichment devices and other projects, such as touching up the primate murals at the Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago IL.
